Water Disruption - Killiney Heath - Thursday 16th May 2013

Due to a water leak at Killiney Heath households are experiencing disruption to their water supply.

Works are ongoing to find and fix this leak.

Water bowsers will be located at each of the three cul de sacs on Killiney Heath this afternoon. Containers can be filled, but please note for drinking purposes water should be boiled first.

After any work on the watermain there may be some initial discolouration or particiles in the water. Allowing taps to run for a short period of time can help water to clear.

The Council apologises for this disruption to the water supply.

Burst Watermain - Castlebyrne, Blackrock - Update @ 12.45 pm Friday 10th May 2013

Update @ 3.00 pm

The burst watermain has been repaired and the system re-charged.  Please note it may take a couple of hours before the water supply is fully restored.

Update @ 1.40 pm

Due to the burst watermain, the following areas are also affected regarding water supply:-

Carrigbrennan
Stradbrook
Monkstown

Due to a burst watermain in the Castlebyrne area of Blackrock, the water supply will be disrupted in order to facilitate this repair.  Surrounding areas may also be affected due to this burst.

Unfortunately at this time, Water Services do not have a definite time when the water will be restored.

Water Disruption - Pottery Road, Dun Laoghaire - 1st May 2013 @ 15.00 hrs

Update @ 17.00 hrs: 
Water will be restored this evening at 18.30 hrs approximately.  The Council apologises for this disruption to the water supply.

Due to a burst watermain, water has been disrupted in the Pottery Road and McIntosh Park areas of Dun Laoghaire.

The water crew are currently on site repairing the main.  As this is a major break water may not be restored until early evening.  Unfortunately, at this stage an exact time cannot be given when water will be restored - update to follow before 17.00 hrs.

After any work on the watermain there may be some initial discolouration or particiles in the water.  Allowing taps to run for a short period of time can help water to clear.

Water Disruption 24th April 2013 - Blackrock area

Due to a burst watermain in the Blackrock area, the following areas are without water:-

The water crew are currently on site repairing the main and it is hoped to have water restored by 6.00 pm this evening.

Water has been turned off in Eaton Brae, Shankill, due to a burst watermain. The Water Crew are currently on site repairing this main and it is hoped to have water restored as soon as possible.
